AMIBA coordinates campaigns annually that bring together small businesses, Independent Business Alliances and other kindred organizations in unified public education efforts. We also partner in and promote mission-aligned campaigns such as Small Business Saturday.
Many campaigns, including Independents Week, began as local IBA efforts that showed potential for broader impact. Be sure to pass along your ideas for other campaigns you develop that we can share!
We provide numerous templates, examples and how-tos for various activities and notify everyone via our social media networks and newsletter when a campaign is ready to kick off. We post regular updates and sample materials via our Facebook and Twitter accounts. Should you access the materials prior to our kick-off announcements for that year, be advised that dates may need updating.
November 1 – December 31
AMIBA partners in this continent-wide campaign with the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies and New England Local Economy Network.
Saturday following Thanksgiving
This annual event (developed by American Express) counters the big-box hype of “Black Friday” and provides a great news hook — either on its own or as a special day in season-long “Shift Your Shopping” efforts.
Week of July 4 every year
AMIBA sponsors this annual event and provides an array of free templates for activities, promotions and graphics to help you convey the virtues of independent business and entrepreneurism.
We also provide free graphics (without all the specific activity guides) for several other holidays and events. If you have any idea for another holiday graphic, we’d love to hear it! We’ll gladly produce a version with your name, logo, url if we use it.
