How Are You Funding Your Trip to Tampa?
Here are some creative ways participants are minimizing or covering their expenses to make their Tampa conference trip possible. We'll post more here as we receive them!
- Board members are donating air miles to cover director's airfare
- IBA includes staff education as a line item in budget (think of this for next time!)
- Requesting funds to cover Tampa Conference from city government -- indicating it will help them to better serve the community's local independent businesses.
- Mini Fundraiser -- conducted at a member bar or microbrewery or ask the facility to offer a signature IBA drink or draft for a month. $1 of the proceeds go to the IBA for the purpose of sending a representative to Tampa. The IBA and the bar promote it. Bar benefits through increased traffic, and the IBA gets to send a representative to Tampa.
- Seeking funds from foundations focused on helping people attend educational events to support their community.
